The house

Odiot is a Paris silversmithing house founded in 1690, celebrated historically as silversmith to Louis XV and to Napoleon — the maker of his coronation sword, sceptre, and imperial dinner services. Its works are held today in the permanent collections of the Louvre, the Met, the V&A, and the Hermitage.

The house is now consolidated into a single publicly listed vehicle on Euronext Paris (ticker: MLODT), bringing together several of France's historic silversmith names — including Biennais (founded 1791) and Tétard Frères (founded 1880) — into one heritage luxury group. Odiot holds the EPV (Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant) label, France's official "Living Heritage" designation reserved for companies of exceptional craft and industrial heritage.

Why this fits the Investisseur Économique criteria: a real, operating French company with genuine economic activity, industrial heritage status, and a strategic position in global luxury — exactly the profile the French authorities look for behind a qualifying €300,000 investment, as distinct from a passive real estate purchase.

How the investment is structured

Direct capital participation

A direct capital injection into the operating company, typically structured as an equity participation — giving investors a genuine ownership stake and exposure to the group's growth.

Exact terms, allocation, and structure are confirmed individually at the time of investment and disclosed in full in the investment documentation. This page is not an offer, a solicitation or investment advice, and no return is promised: the value of an equity participation can fall as well as rise. Investors should review all terms with independent legal, tax and financial counsel before committing capital.

Sector and strategic fit

This opportunity sits within the luxury and heritage sector — one of several sectors that French authorities and reviewing bodies view favourably for investor visa applications, alongside healthcare and life sciences, industrial SMEs, advanced manufacturing, and technology, reflecting alignment with France's broader industrial strategy priorities (including the France 2030 investment programme).

Compliance and due diligence

  • Full KYC/AML screening — identity, source-of-funds, sanctions and PEP checks — carried out to institutional standard
  • Funds held in secured escrow pending compliance clearance, before deployment into the investee company
  • Funds are not deployed into the investee company until every visa and compliance condition is satisfied
